Error 0×800CCC0D - The host could not be found
Error 0×800CCC0E - The connection to the server has failed
Error 0×800CCC0F - Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection
If you received one of the above error messages from Outlook / Outlook Express when sending or recieving emails try the following tests to see what the problem is.
First check your Outlook Express settings, making sure that your POP3 and SMTP usernames, passwords and servers are correct. Also, make sure that your account and domain name are still active.
If the settings are correct and your account and domain name are active, one possibility is that you may not be connected to the Internet or the connection is bad. To test your connection follow the procedures below :
Incoming mail server test (port 110)
1. Click the “Start” button then “Run”. Type “telnet pop.everyone.net 110″ and press Enter. You will then be connected to the email server. (If you are not, then something is blocking your connection between your computer and the mail server.)
2. Type in “USER” followed by your email address (example: USER broker@mymortgagecompany.com) and then press Enter. You should get a “+OK”
3. Type in “PASS” followed by your password (example: PASS pass123) and press Enter. If it is correct, you will get another “+OK”
4. If you can do this, you have connected to the mail server, so the problem lies somewhere with your Outlook Express.
If you get “-ERR authorization failed” at step 4, it is possible that your password has somehow become corrupted. Try changing it in your account’s control panel and try again.

If you connected to the incoming mail server, you will see something like the following showing "+OK <your email address>
Outgoing mail server test (port 25)
1. Click the “Start” button then “Run”. Type “telnet smtp.everyone.net 25″ and press Enter. You will then be connected to the email server
2a. If you see “220 dmxx.mta.everyone.net ESMTP EON-AUTHRELAYx ”, you have connected to the mail server and your outgoing mail should work fine if your settings are correctly entered.
2b. If you see an error stating "Could not open connection to the host on port..." then your internet service provider is most likely blocking the port that your email program uses to send outgoing emails. You will need to contact your ISP (the company providing your internet connection) with the request to open port 25 or 2525 in their firewall so that you can send outgoing email from your domain name. If they don’t want to open the port you have to use their SMTP server for your outgoing mail connection. You can obtain their SMTP settings from either their tech support or possibly their web site.
The following service providers are currently known to block SMTP connections and require your use of their SMTP server: 1st.net, ATT WorldNet, Earthlink, Lineone.net, MSN, Mindspring, Sympatico, Bellsouth.
Other possibilities of things that could be blocking your incoming / outgoing emails to your email program.
If you are running a firewall software, configure it to grant access to the Internet for the following file: Outlook.exe
If you have Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall read the information on the following links to Symantec’s web site on how to configure your email program to send outgoing emails.

If you have the Norton Antivirus e-mail scanning feature enabled, read the information on the following link to Symantec’s web site.

If you choose to set up a pop account and follow these directions and are having problems, check to see if your webmail is working. If your webmail is working, and your Outlook is not, then you will need to contact your internal technical support person because something must be configured wrong with your Outlook settings and we can not help with that. If your webmail is not working then we can look into the issue.
